You pour the glass of wine, again.
You told yourself today would be different, again.
You whispered, “Just one,” but deep down you knew.
Not because you’re weak.
Not because you don’t love your family.
But because somewhere along the way, you lost yourself.
Maybe it was motherhood that swallowed your name.
Maybe your career became your identity, and now you’re burnt out and empty.
Maybe you’ve been showing up for everyone but yourself, for so long, you don’t even remember who you are anymore.
So you reach for the bottle, hoping to quiet the noise.
The stress. The loneliness. The ache of “is this all there is?”
And every night ends the same.
A silent shame. A quiet vow: “Tomorrow.”
Sister, I see you.
And more importantly… God sees you.
He sees the way you’re hurting behind the highlight reel.
He hears the prayers you whisper half-heartedly after that second drink.
He’s not mad at you.
He’s not disappointed.
He’s not walking away.
He’s waiting.
Waiting for you to choose the harder path.
Waiting for you to lay the bottle down and walk toward Him—unsteady, unsure, but willing.
Waiting to remind you that you are still His daughter.
That He still has plans to prosper you.
That He still has joy, purpose, and freedom waiting on the other side of this fight.
He will never leave you.
But He’s calling you to leave behind what’s been breaking you.
Not because He wants to take something from you,
But because He wants to give something so much better in return.
Peace.
Clarity.
Freedom.
You.
The you He created. The you He still sees… even now.
So if you’re standing at the edge tonight, glass in hand and heart in pieces…
Know this:
You don’t have to keep living this cycle.
You don’t have to prove anything.
You just have to turn around.
He’s still right there.
And He’s not letting go.
