It’s Sunday morning. Maybe you woke up heavy. Maybe you feel behind — in life, in healing, in faith.
I’ve had Sundays like that. The kind where it takes everything in you just to get out of bed. Where the shame from your past feels louder than the truth of who you are. Where even your prayers feel tired.
If that’s where you are today, I want you to know something straight from my heart:
You were never meant to hold it all together.
This world tells us we have to stay strong, stay in control, and keep going no matter what. But that’s not how healing really works — and that’s not what God asks of us. Real strength, the kind that brings peace and wholeness, often begins when we’re finally honest enough to say, “God, I can’t do this on my own anymore.”
“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)
Let that sink in.
God isn’t disappointed in your weakness — He’s drawn to it.
He’s not asking you to be more capable — He’s inviting you to be more surrendered.
His power — His miraculous, healing, restoring power — shines brightest when you stop trying to fake it and simply fall into His arms.
We tend to see weakness as failure. God sees it as an open door.
That place where you feel like you’re not enough? That’s the very space where He wants to pour in His grace.
You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t have to prove your worth.
You don’t have to do this alone.
Let today be the day you lay it all down… the guilt, the pressure, the timeline. Breathe. Light a candle. Open to Psalm 34. Let Him whisper over your weary heart:
“You are still mine. I’m not done with you yet.”
This is what redemption looks like, not a flawless finish line, but a holy unraveling and rebuilding. One day, one choice, one surrender at a time.
Want to go deeper in your healing?
I’m creating something tender and powerful for women in early sobriety — a faith-filled space to help you rediscover your identity and walk in freedom.
If that sounds like something your heart is craving, stay close. I’ll be sharing more soon.
You don’t have to white-knuckle your way through this.
You were made to heal — gently, with God leading the way.
With love and light,
— Sarah
